Students need to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication before returning to school.

If your child has a fever 100.5  or higher, diarrhea, or is vomiting they need to remain home until they are symptom free without the use of fever reducing medication for 24 hours.

If a child tests positive for streptococcal infection, he/she must remain out of school for 24 hours after the start of antibiotics.

Students who drive to school and become ill during the day should be picked up by their parent/guardian.
If a student is sent home with a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea they are not expected to be in school the next day. However, parents need to call the main office at 860-567-7410 ext. 118 to report the absence.  If there is a diagnosis that the nurse should be aware of, please call 860-567-7429.  Students must be symptom free for 24 hours.
